Where you were before you signed up

Before I signed up I was reaching the 10 year mark in my current business (a women's running community). I wanted to do some personal development for me but also gain meaningful skills and experience that would benefit the members in my women's community so learning to become a coach seemed the perfect fit

What the course was like?

The course by far exceeded my expectations.  The course training was excellent and delivered by such a knowledgeable, relatable and friendly team. The extra resources and help available were fantastic and Optimus went above and beyond to support every person. For me the best part and one that I hadn't expected was the friendship and sense of community I have found with Optimus and the people on the course. I have grown and developed so much as a person in the last 7 months and the growth continues. Optimus also continues to support you after the course which has been so valuable for me.

What you're doing now ?

I am continuing to run my original business and community but I have since set up 'Leanne Davies Coaching' as a way to support more women on a one to one basis. Things are busy but I am absolutely loving it and seeing the difference I can make to more women's lives is so rewarding.

The transformation you experienced?

The changes that have come from training with Optimus have been a new sense of confidence and pushing my own boundaries. Also self-awareness, not just in the behaviour of others but how I react to certain situations too. My health and wellbeing is in a better place. Being more aware of my habits has enabled me to focus and make changes for the better, I feel calmer, more in control and happier.  My future career path feels exciting and brimming with opportunity because of the mindset shift I have made since training with Optimus. It really has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

The next course starts w/c 18th March and completes w/c 8th July.

You can choose either Monday 6-9pm or Tuesday 10-1pm.

See what our graduates say, about their experience of our accredited Associate Coach Diploma:

Lyndsey Linford

"So coaching and Optimus got recommended to me by my own coach, my life coach, and so I joined the free taster session back in March 2022 and I was really impressed with the way they taught and explained positive psychology, neuroscience, and just raising my own self awareness.. I decided to train as a coach because I've seen the positive impact that coaching had on my life, and I wanted to pass onto other women who may have felt that they felt a bit lost in life and weren't sure on how to make the big moves in life to be where they wanted to be.""I would definitely say go for the level one because it's just a great introduction to coaching as someone who has never done any training in coaching before.  It's really given me a good foundation of knowledge and a good starting ground to work from"               To listen to the full testimonial play the video

Francheska Webb-Cook

"I think if you're someone that's not completely positive that doing coaching is completely for you or how you fit into that realm or if it's something that you want to take to a higher level, doing the level one diploma has really helped me learn where I want to move forward and how I want to progress within this sphere of coaching. So the support that we get is really, really good, both from our tutors, but also our peer group.  We've become a really close small cohort and we really support each other with doing our peer coaching and having conversations about things that we've tried in a session that have really worked or sometimes things that haven't gone quite as well  and learning from each other and obviously, we've got the fabulous Ruth and the rest of the Optimus team that are always there.                                            To listen to the full testimonial play the video

Where you were before you signed up

Before I signed up to train with Optimus I had been looking on and off over a number of months for the 'right' coaching course.
It seemed like everyone in the world was offering coaching training courses, making it difficult to assess which training provider was for me, and my gut was questioning the credibility of most of them.

What the course was like?

I absolutely loved the course.  The tutors were all great.  I found the training sessions very engaging as there were opportunities to interact with the tutors and the other students on the course.
I've found the Peer Coaching very beneficial for coaching practice, and made some friends in the process.  It was good to speak to someone going through the same experience.

What you're doing now ?

Since finishing the training sessions on the Associate course (Level 1), I have started the next part of my training with Optimus (Level 2).

The transformation you experienced?

It's amazed me how much impact the training and learning has had on me personally as well as equipping me with the coaching skills to be able to help support others as well.
In a matter of months, I feel like I have rewired my brain and now have a different mindset.  I have further work to do, but I have so much more self-awareness and understanding.
This has helped me enormously in my day-to-day life.
And it's fantastic to feel I am able to provide coaching to a good standard, straight from training.
I look forward to seeing where I am in another few months.
